Why Join

Throughout cities, counties, states, the nation and the world, outstanding men and women in many professions are members of Chambers of Commerce's because they know the value of the Chamber to any ambitious community. The Chamber is the rallying point for the leading citizens of the county to promote their beliefs and worthwhile projects. Chamber programs are geared to fulfill the needs of all segments of the community, small business, big business and professionals.

Many professional people in the area would find it difficult to make a comfortable living here if the Chamber of Commerce did not spend thousands of dollars every year to get new industry, build trade, attract tourists, conventions and home seekers, and to promote civic improvements. Your Chamber needs the support of professional service providers in order to retain the present position our community enjoys and to assure future progress.

Professionals, such as accountants, architects, attorneys, dentists, physicians, etc., have as large a stake in the community as a retailer, wholesaler, manufacturer, restaurateur, hotel owner, developer, or city official. For without a good climate for business, the climate for professionals will suffer.

The Chamber functions to bring more people into Grant County, resulting in added revenues to all sectors of the economy. A healthy economy increases the demand for professional services as well as products. And when business is good, people pay their bills more promptly.

Many leaders in the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce are professionals. This group of alert individuals realizes that their business cannot prosper in a dead town. They know that a growing community is much to their advantage.

Far too few professionals realize their role is vital.
Civic and Community Development is Everyone's Business.

As a group, professional men and women are accorded a prestige given few other groups in American life. The influence is needed and wanted. The Chamber of Commerce is seeking sound leadership in this county. Give it your support, your voice, your influence.

A prosperous community is what we all want and that is what you will help maintain when you assist your Chamber of Commerce. In most cases this goal is best attained through a group effort, and your Chamber of Commerce, by its nature, involves itself in community betterment projects that are beyond the individual scope. On this basis, your Chamber merits your support - not, frankly, because you will agree with every position taken of project undertaken, but because a pooling of monies, energies and opinions is most apt to result in positive, productive efforts toward maintenance and improvement in our quality of living.

You know that your own time is valuable - both to you, and to the people you serve. Others "hire" you to perform services, which you, because of your extensive training, are best qualified to render. Similarly, you can "hire" the Chamber to do those things in your community, which the Chamber has, the time and expertise to effect.

You as a professional person have a stake in this area and you can best safeguard your interests by working with others through the Chamber. The Chamber promotes an environment that can maximize your business potential and profitability.

Remember, membership in the Chamber of Commerce is the least expensive and most productive item in the business budget. It pays BIG dividends!

Civic & community development is everyone's business.

Yes, all professionals should belong to the Chamber!
